Battle Buddy Resource Center
Volunteer Position: Newcomers Orientation Representative
Every incoming Soldier to Fort Benning attends the Newcomer’s Orientation, which is held weekly at ACS (BLDG 7).The BBRC hosts an information table at this event, to familiarize Newcomer’s with the BBRC. The Volunteer greets those interested, hands out brochures and answer basic questions about BBRC services. Volunteers should be able to commit to volunteer each Wednesday from 8:30am-11:00am.

Volunteer Position: Consignment Clerk
This is a great position for people who enjoy working with the public and are comfortable with data entry. The Volunteer will be responsible to accept consignor items, determine acceptability for consignment and enter the information into the inventory data base. Interested volunteers must possess good customer service skills, minimal computer skills and be able to tactfully reject unsatisfactory consignments. The Consignment Desk is open every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. This position requires a Volunteer who can commit 2 hours each Tuesday and/or 2 hours each Wednesday during Consignment Desk hours.
Hospitality & Fundraising
Volunteer Position: Fall Fundraiser Volunteer
Each fall, the CSC holds an annual fall fundraiser that includes the Wreath and Tree auction. Committee members will help plan, develop and deliver this event. This includes event setup, décor, entertainment, catering, marketing/graphic design, guest experience, and donation. Committee members will help plan, develop and deliver this event. The time commitment will be 10+ hours in the late summer/fall of 2018.
*Event day Volunteers are also needed to help with setup/clean up, and guest experience. The time commitment is approximately 5 hours.
Operation Deploy Your Dress
Volunteer Position: General Volunteer
Operation Deploy your Dress (ODYD) provides a service to the Community by collecting and providing free formal attire to military and dependent ID cardholders to help offset the cost of attending military balls and other formal events. Volunteers will be part of the ODYD storefront and receive new attire, stock racks, and serve customers. Volunteers should possess strong customer service skills. Time commitment will be approximately 4-8 hours a month.
Scholarships & Grants
Volunteer Position: General Volunteer
One of the ways the CSC gives back to the community is through awarding scholarships and community grants. Committee members will review and score all applications using a disciplined scoring process. Volunteers cannot be the applicant, the parent or other family member of an applicant or receive a direct/indirect benefit from a scholarship or community grant. Volunteers will be required to sign and adhere to a Conflict of Interest and Confidentiality Statement. The time commitment is approximately 12+ hours total over the course of several days in March.
Volunteer Position: Sub Club Leader
The CSC plans to offer several different sub clubs this membership year. If you have a hobby and/or interest you would like to share with other club members then this position is for you. The Sub Club Leader will work with the Sub Club Board Member and schedule, lead and deliver a regular activity with wide appeal. The Sub Club Leader will coordinate the details for each of the planned activities, including (but not limited to) location, time, activity, fees and number of participants. Time commitment is approximately 4 hours a month.
